Dr. Alexis Stambaugh

Dr. Alexis Stambaugh grew up in the Hudson Valley, in a small town called Rhinebeck.  She attended Cornell University for undergraduate studies as well as Veterinary School, graduating in 2009.  She has worked for North Country since then.

Dr. Stambaugh works mostly in the Pulaski office now. She has enjoyed all aspects of mixed animal practice but sticks to small animals now.  She still enjoys working with small ruminants when she gets the chance. Dr. Stambaugh has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Stambaugh was a speaker at a camelid conference (GALA, 2009), and wrote an article on cystitis in cats for the Purring Post (May 2012).

Dr. Stambaugh lives in the village of Pulaski with her two children Aurora and Lucas, terrier mix Jack, and three cats.  She has also opened her house to foster kittens in need of a good forever home.
