Dr. Debra Windecker was raised on a dairy farm in Herkimer County, New York where her interest in caring for animals began and grew.  She is a 1979 graduate of Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and a 1983 graduate of Cornell's Veterinary School.  She has been at the practice since graduation.

Dr. Windecker did a fair amount of bovine and equine work early in her career but has gravitated toward small animal medicine and surgery over time.  She is mainly found in our Oswego Office but can occasionally find her way to Pulaski.  Her interests include reading, hiking, golfing, and dog training. 

Dr. Windecker, her husband Steve Geer live on a dairy farm in Palermo, New York. She is an active member of Syracuse Obedience Training Club. Her dog Perry achieved AKC titles in agility, tracking, and obedience making her MACH Designer's Precious Peridot VCD2 RN TDX MXS MJC MXF T2B.
