Dr. Jonathan Gorman
Dr. Jonathan Gorman grew up in Baltimore, spending significant time doing animal care at his local nature center. He got a B.S. in biological sciences from Cornell University in 2016. During his undergraduate career, he studied behavior in naked mole rats and hamsters. He decided to pursue veterinary medicine after studying for 6 months at a veterinary school in Argentina.
Jonathan attended Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he actively participated in the school’s teaching dairy, worked in healthy pet clinics, and helped run a blog on wildlife medicine. He graduated in 2021 and has been working for North Country Veterinary Services ever since.
Jonathan enjoys working with cats and dogs as well as occasional birds, reptiles, rabbits, and other exotics. He has a particular interest in ultrasound and is constantly trying to adopt new skills, including surgery and cardiology. Outside of North Country, Jonathan works part-time at local spay and neuter clinics, in addition to occasional spay and neuter clinics abroad. In his free time, he runs, bikes, and practices photography amongst other hobbies. He lives with his three lovely cats and two equally lovely crested geckos.
