Dr. Lauren Harper, a New Jersey native, has been passionate about veterinary medicine for as long as she can remember. Her journey began at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science, where her love for science and research truly took root. Throughout her academic career, she pursued a wide range of research interests—from computer science and cell biology to clinical trials.

Dr. Harper graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University in 2020 with a degree in Animal Science and distinction in research. Before attending veterinary school, she spent a year gaining hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant, further solidifying her commitment to animal care.

In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time there, she was actively involved in the campus community—serving as president of the Veterinary Players theater group, singing with the Ultrasounds acapella group, and dancing with the CVM Dance Collective.

Dr. Harper is passionate about working with animals of all sizes and species, from beloved household pets and farm animals to exotic species. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring the local area with her partner, Tom, and spending time with their cat, Vincenzo.
